Greetings and blessings,

I received your lengthy letter, following a prolonged silence. You describe what your life has been until the recent period and the nature of the students upon whom you exercise your influence.

I read with pleasure, at the end of your letter, that you finally perceive the beneficent light that is hidden in the inner dimension of the Torah*, Chassidus*. I trust that you will intensify this study to the fullest extent of what is possible and necessary.

Furthermore, in accordance with the ruling of our Sages*, it is the action that is essential and not the theory. You will therefore strengthen the teaching and customs of Chassidus*, for yourself and for those around you.

You know the ruling issued by the Heavenly Court, according to which — by virtue of the self-sacrifice* the Alter Rebbe* displayed for Chassidus* — those who are connected to him and follow his path must prevail in all matters concerning Torah*, awe of Heaven, and good character traits, as established in a well-known letter of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us.

I am pleased to know that you continue your activities. Please emphasize to the leaders of the Chabad* youth association in Yerushalayim* that they must find means and even stratagems to expand them. This is, indeed, the need of the hour. May Hashem* grant that in this matter as well, you give me good tidings as soon as possible.

I extend my blessing that you succeed in your sacred mission toward your fellow. In this way, you will increase the success that Hashem* grants you in the effort you invest in yourself, especially to acquire the heightened holiness* to which I alluded.

לאחרי שתיקתו הכי הארוכה נתקבל מכתבו הארוך, בו כותב תולדות ימי חייו עד לזמן האחרון, מהות התלמידים עליהם משפיע כו'.

ונעם לי לקרות בסיום מכתבו, אשר סו"ס ראה את האור כי טוב הגנוז בפנימיות התורה תורת החסידות, ואשר דוקא בדורנו זה זכו שנתגלתה על פני תבל וחוצות.

ותקותי חזקה אשר יוסיף בלימודו בזה ככל האפשרי והדרוש, ועוד זאת, אשר מתאים לפסק המשנה לא המדרש עיקר אלא המעשה, יוסיף בהדרכת תורת החסידות ומנהגי' בהנוגע לעצמו ובהנוגע לסביבתו. וכבר ידוע פסק בי"ד של מעלה, אשר בגלל המס"נ של רבנו הזקן על תורת החסידות, פסקו בבי"ד של מעלה, אשר בכל ענין של תורה יראת שמים ומדות טובות תהי' יד מקושריו והולכי בעקבותיו על העליונה, וכמסופר במכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, הידוע.

נעם לי ממה שממשיך בפעולות... ובטח יעורר את הנהלת צעירי אגודת חב"ד דירושלים ת"ו שצריך לחפש עצות וגם תחבולות איך להרחיב פעולות אלו, כי הרי זוהי דרישת השעה, ויהי רצון שגם בזה יבשר טוב בהקדם.

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתו בקדש עם זולתו, שעי"ז יתוסף ג"כ בהצלחת השי"ת בעבודתו עם עצמו, ובפרט - תוספת בעבודה קדושה הנ"ל.
