Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of 3 Teves*, as well as the previous one. I hope to continue receiving good news of the assistance provided by the municipality in order to develop the schools of the network (Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch* in the Holy Land) to the fullest extent possible.

No doubt you will spare no effort in this regard, for it seems that everything accomplished in the Holy Land can be obtained only at the cost of repeated endeavors and constantly renewed energy. Nevertheless, it is explained at length elsewhere that every effort, every action for the education of the young generation is justified, for a positive change, even a slight one, in the student can bring about a fundamental transformation for the rest of his life, as experience demonstrates (see letter no. 4065).

You will surely continue to inform me of the commitment, including the physical effort, of the teachers in order to increase the number of students. And you know the statement of our Sages: "When one makes efforts, those efforts are crowned with success."

It is no doubt unnecessary to emphasize to you the necessity of ensuring that a gathering is held on the day of the Hilloula* (of the Frierdiker Rebbe*) of the 10th of Shevat*, which is approaching. All the schools should participate. By organizing everything in advance, one will be able to benefit from it to the fullest extent possible. May Hashem grant you success.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מג' טבת והקודם לו, ואקוה להמשך בשו"ט אודות הסיוע מהעירי' להתפתחות בת"ס הרשת ככל האפשרי, ובודאי לא יחשכו בהשתדלות בזה כי כנראה כל עניני אה"ק ת"ו הם באופן כזה שצריכים השתדלות אחר השתדלות ובמרץ בלתי פוסק, אבל מובן המבואר במ"א בארוכה אשר כל השתדלות ואפילו יגיעה בחינוך דור הצעיר כדאיות הן כיון ששינוי לטובה קטן אפילו בשעת מעשה בתלמיד-ה אפשר שישנה בענינים עיקרים כל משך ימי חייו, וכנראה גם בעניני בשר.

בטח ימשיך בידיעות אודות התנדבות המורים-ות להשתדל גם בטרחה בגופם אודות הגדלת מספר התלמידים-ות, וכבר ידוע פסק רז"ל יגעת ומצאת.

בודאי למותר לעוררו על ההשתדלות המתאימה בארגון כנוס יום ההילולא יו"ד שבט הבע"ל, ושישתתפו בזה כל בתי הספר, וע"י הכנה מראש בזה לנצל את הכנוס בכל האפשרי, והשי"ת יצליחם.

בברכה לבשו"ט בכל האמור, וגם בעניניהם הפרטים, וגם ענין הדירה בכלל.
