Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 6 Teves*. I read with pleasure that you are investing your efforts in the field of positive education. No doubt you do not content yourself with your current achievements. Indeed, one must always ascend in matters of holiness, adding constantly. Moreover, when it comes to the education of Jewish children, it is perfectly clear that every strengthening of the fear of Hashem, of Torah* and mitzvos* is fundamental and, particularly in our era, is literally decisive.

Indeed, unfavorable winds (literally: "uncommon winds") blow upon the world. And to our sorrow and misfortune, these are encountered not only outside (the Jewish community). Every reinforcement given to the children will therefore exert its effect throughout their entire lives. One can deduce from this how indispensable it is. Whoever is able to act in this domain and to use the aptitudes at his disposal acquires immense merit.

As you request, your name will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, so that you may obtain the fulfillment of your needs — as you describe in your letter — and also increased ardor in all that pertains to education, which shall be based precisely on sacred values.

שלום וברכה!

במענה על מכתבו מו' טבת. נעם לי לקרות בו שמשתדל הוא בשטח חינוך הכשר, ובודאי אינו מסתפק בההישגים דעד עתה, כי נוסף על זה שצריך להיות מעלין בקדש ומוסיף והולך, הרי בפרט בהונגע לחינוך ילדי ישראל, הנה כל הוספה בעניני יראת שמים ותורה ומצותי' נחוצה ובתקופתנו גם מוכרחה, כיון שרוחות בלתי מצויות מנשבות בעולם, ולצערנו ולדאבוננו לא קר בהעולם החיצוני, וכל ענין של חיסון בהילדים יוכל להיות נוגע לכל משך ימי חייהם שמזה מובן שכל השתדלות כדאית בזה, וגודל הזכות של כל אחד שיכול לפעול בזה ומנצל היכולת שלו.

כבקשתו יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להמצטרך לו מתאים לכתבו, וכן לתוספת אומץ בעניני חנוך על טהרת הקדש דוקא.
