Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter from motzaei* Shabbos* Bamidbar and what it contained. It followed a long silence, and may Hashem grant that in the future you announce only good news to me, always and every day, of a good that is visible and tangible.

You should explain to your wife — may she be granted long life — that she must be happy, and that you yourself must be as well, since Divine Providence has placed you in a ray of light, in Kfar Chabad*, a place that is strengthening and developing. I am certain that, little by little, it will develop even more — quantitatively, qualitatively, and materially. There are no words to describe the reward of each of those who takes part in such an undertaking.

You tell me that she is sometimes seized by fear (see note 1). You should therefore have the mezuzos* of your home checked, as well as your tefillin*. No doubt she has adopted the positive custom of virtuous Jewish women, consisting of giving tzedakah* before lighting the candles on erev* Shabbos* and festivals. In addition, she will do the same every day, giving a few coins to tzedakah* in the morning. She will do this until the birth, which will take place at a good and auspicious time.

May Hashem grant that in this matter as well, you and your wife give good news. Obviously, I am interested in the success she is achieving in her work (see note 2) and in the way she exercises her influence on others — in general, and on the students of the school in particular.

May Hashem grant you success.

לאחרי שתיקתו הארוכה, נתקבל מכתבו ממוצש"ק במדבר עם המוסגר בו, ויהי רצון שמכאן ולהבא אך טוב יבשר תכה"י בטוב הנראה והנגלה. וצריך הי' להסביר לזוגתו שתליט"א - אשרי חלקה ואשרי חלקו שהשגחה העליונה העמידתם בקרן אורה כפר חב"ד, ההולך מתחזק ומתפשט, ושבמשך הימים מובטחני שיתפשט עוד יותר, בכמות ובאיכות וגם בגשמיות, ושכרם של כאו"א הלוקחים חלק בזה אין די באר.

ובמה שכותב שלפעמים מפחדת, יש לבדוק המזוזות בדירתם, והתפילין שלו. וכן, שנוסף על מה שבודאי נוהגת במנהג הטוב של בנות ישראל הכשרות להפריש לצדקה קודם הדלקת הנרות בכל ערב שבת וערב יום טוב, הנה תעשה כן בכל יום חול בבקר להפריש לצדקה איזה פרוטות - עד לאחר הלידה בשעה טובה ומוצלחת. ויה"ר שגם בזה יבשרו טוב הוא וזוגתו שיחיו. ומובן שמתענין הנני בהצלחתה בעבודתה ובהשפעה על הזולת בכלל ועל חניכי המוסד ביחוד. והשי"ת יצליחה.
