To Mrs. Sarah,
Blessings and greetings,
It is surely unnecessary to remind you of the essential and profound obligation of every teacher and educator — to strengthen the students so that they can overcome the trials of life and withstand the winds that blow in the world, without straying from the path of life, that of our Torah*, the Torah of life.
Those who deliver instruction apparently unrelated to what has just been said (dealing with secular subjects) must also put it to positive use — as a channel transmitting to the students a deep faith in the Creator of the world, Who directs it. He is the Essence of good, and in His great goodness, He has traced for us the path leading to a happy life.
Proper reflection will enable you to find the words to explain the truth to the students, in a manner suited to their age and understanding. And nothing can withstand the will.

... בודאי למותר לעוררה על חובתה העיקרית והפנימית של כל מורה ומחנכת שהוא לחסן את תלמידיהם שיוכלו לעמוד בנסיונות החיים ובפני הרוחות המנשבות בעולם מבלי לנטות מדרך החיים היא דרך תורתנו תורת חיים, ואפילו אלו שמורים הם לימוד שבהשקפה ראשונה אין לו שייכות להאמור, יש לנצלו גם הוא כרצוי כצנור להחדיר בהתלמידים אמונה פנימית בבורא עולם ומנהיגו שהוא עצם הטוב ואשר בטובו הגדול הורה לנו אורח חיים המביא לחיים מאושרים, ובהתבוננות המתאימה מוצאים האותיות איך להסביר את האמת להתלמידים בהסברה המתאימה לגילם ולמדת הבנתם, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
