Blessings and greetings*,

I am responding to your letter of 7 Tishrei*, in which I read with pleasure that you are succeeding, as a counselor, in implanting a spirit of fear of Hashem in the girls under your responsibility. No doubt you will not content yourself with what you have achieved until now. You will multiply these accomplishments, in accordance with the injunction that "one knows elevation in the domain of holiness."

You tell me that among the Chabad* young women, none is your age. I was particularly astonished by this, for there are daughters of Chassidim* and those who, without being Chassidic, nevertheless belong to Orthodox families. All of them can therefore organize to form these Chabad* young women. Here again, the essential difficulty is perhaps the fact that a young woman must be the one to take the initiative. Now, you are from the Rebbe's* family and you received your education in a Chassidic home. You are therefore one of those who are capable of taking this initiative.

Obviously, you may convey the content of these few lines to the young women your age. May Hashem grant that all of you together develop and expand the Chabad* young women's organization, which will fulfill its mission by spreading the wellsprings (see note 1) outward. In accordance with the saying of the Alter Rebbe* (see note 2), indeed, Chassidus* addresses all Jews and not only a specific group, circle, or category. All of this has already been explained.

במענה על מכתבה מז' תשרי, נעם לי לקרות במכתבה אודות הצלחתה בתור מדריכה להחדיר רוח יראת שמים בהמחונכות שלה, ובטח אינה מסתפקת בההשגים דעד עתה ומוסיפה עליהן, וכהציווי דמעלין בקדש.

במ"ש בהנוגע לבנות חב"ד אשר לא נמצאו שם בנות גילה וכו', הרי נתגדלה התמי' עוד יותר, כיון שבטח כמה מבנות אנ"ש ואפילו אלו שלא מאנ"ש מהבנות חרדיות, הרי עליהן להתארגן במסגרת בנות חב"ד, ואפשר שגם בזה המניעה העיקרית היא שצריך להיות מי שהוא ראשונה לעשות התעמולה, וכיון שמבית הרב היא ונתחנכה בבית חסידותי, גם היא מהמועמדות והשייכות לעשות צעד ראשון זה.

מובן שברשותה למסור תוכן שורותי אלו האמורות לכל הנערות ובחורות בנות גילה, ויהי רצון שכולן יחד תפתחנה ותפיצנה מסגרת בנות חב"ד באופן שתמלאנה תפקידן הן בשטח הענין דהפצת המעינות חוצה, וכידוע פתגם רבנו הזקן אשר החסידות הוא ענין לכל בני ישראל ולא רק לכתה לחוג אחד או לסוג מיוחד, והדברים מבוארים.
