To the Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Michoel Yehuda Aryeh Leib (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings*,

I am responding to your letter from the conclusion of Yom Kippur*.

You mention the washing of the hands on the morning of Yom Kippur*. You should consult my notes on the Reshimos Eha*, in the compendium of customs that appears at the end of this work, volume 3-14, page 209.

Concerning the text of the prayer (see note 2) Avinu Malkeinu*, it is obvious that one must say "zachor*" (see note 3), in the form that follows the verse. This is what the commentary on the Siddur* states, and it has even been corrected in several editions of the Siddur Torah Or*.

The text of the Yehi Ratzon* prayer recited by the Kohanim* (see note 4) is the one printed in the Siddur Torah Or*. However, there is no reason to reprove one who recites the text appearing in the Siddur Tehillas Hashem* (see note 5).

במ"ש אודות נטילת ידים שחרית ביוהכ"פ, עיין בהערותי לרשימות איכה בלקוטי מנהגים שבסופן בקובץ ח"ג (יד) ע' רט.

בנוסח אבינו מלכנו, פשיטא דצ"ל זכור במלופום שהוא לשון הכתוב, וכבר העיר על זה גם בקונטרס הסידור, וגם נתקן בהוצאות אחדות דסידור תורה אור.

בנוסח יה"ר של הכהנים, יש לומר כנדפס בסידור תורה אור, אף שהאומר כנוסח ד"תהלת ה'" אין להזניחו...
