To my close relative, the distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Shneur Zalman (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I have received your letter of the first day of Rosh Chodesh* Kislev*, the month of deliverance and miracles, along with the list of students of the Beis Rivkah* (see note 2), may Hashem grant them long life.

At an auspicious time, I will mention their names at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, the leader of Yisrael*, so that they achieve immense success in their studies and conduct, for the great satisfaction of their parents, teachers, and the administration of the Beis Rivkah*.

Without question, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, will invoke great mercy for this, as well as for the strengthening and development of the Beis Rivkah* — quantitatively, through the number of students, and qualitatively, through the high level of studies and good conduct.

Fortunate is the lot of all those who devote themselves to this mission and of the students who attend such a school.

It is clear that all this also comes under the decision rendered by the Heavenly Court (see note 3), as reported by the Mitteler Rebbe*. Indeed, thanks to the self-sacrifice for Chassidus* demonstrated by the Alter Rebbe*, the Heavenly Court decided that in all matters concerning Torah*, the fear of Hashem, and good conduct, those attached to him and following his ways would prevail.

As a participation in what concerns the Beis Rivkah*, I am enclosing a check in the amount of twenty-five. May Hashem grant that it be "ko* (see note 4) for life." You will understand this from what is explained in the Likkutei Torah*, in the second chapter of the chassidic* discourse entitled "Sos Asis" ("I shall rejoice in Hashem").

ובעת רצון אזכירן על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל, להצלחה מופלגה בלימודיהן ובהנהגתן לרוב שביעות נחת ההורים, המורים והנהלת הבית רבקה שי', ובודאי יעורר כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ר"ר בכל הנ"ל וגם לחיזוק ולהתפתחות הבית רבקה הן 1בכמות ז. א. מספר התלמידות והן באיכות רמת הלימודים וטיב ההנהגה, ואשרי חלקם של כל אלו המשתדלים בזה, ושל התלמידות הלומדות בבית ספר זה.

אשר פשוט שגם ענינים אלו נכללים בפס"ד בי"ד של מעלה אודותו סיפר כ"ק אדמו"ר האמצעי, אשר בגלל המס"נ הלזו (של אדמו"ר הזקן) על תורת החסידות, פסקו בבי"ד של מעלה, אשר בכל ענין של תורה יראת שמים ומדות טובות תהי' יד מקושריו והולכי בעקבותיו על העליונה.

לאות השתתפותי בעניני בית רבקה, מוסג"פ המחאה על כ"ה, ויה"ר שיהי' כה לחי, וכמובן הענין ע"פ מה שנתבאר בלקו"ת ד"ה שוש אשיש בה' פרק שני.
