Greetings and blessings,
You ask me whether you should go to the wedding of a certain person. In general, there is no use in becoming angry. Indeed, every Jew believes in Divine Providence. One must therefore be certain that Hashem did all of this for the good, especially according to what Chassidus* and the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov* explain, as indicated in the Iggeres HaKodesh* of the Alter Rebbe*, chapter 25.
Consequently, one must take part in the joy of a fellow Jew, especially a close one. How much time should one spend there? Should one remain only for the wedding ceremony, or also afterward? These points should be discussed with the chassidim* who are on the spot.
