Greetings and blessings,
After a particularly long silence, I have duly received your letter of 23 Cheshvan*, conveying good news, since you tell me that you feel much better.
In various domains of Torah* and mitzvos*, the majority does not suffice. The totality is necessary, as was explained at a chassidic* gathering and reproduced in the third Kovetz* Lubavitch. May Hashem therefore grant, in your case as well, that you inform me not merely of a great improvement, but of a complete recovery.
Indeed, here too the greater part does not suffice. It is necessary that, in the words of the verse, "you be whole with Hashem your Elokim," as explained in the Likkutei Torah*, in the second chapter of the chassidic* discourse entitled "For this mitzvah*." You will be whole in your two hundred and forty-eight spiritual limbs and your three hundred and sixty-five spiritual sinews and, consequently, in your two hundred and forty-eight physical limbs and your three hundred and sixty-five physical sinews.
With blessing on the occasion of the festival of liberation and to give good news,
