Blessings and greetings,

I read with pleasure the letter from your husband, concerning the continuation of your activities within the framework of the Chabad* women and girls (see note 1). But he notes that you are troubled, in this regard, by difficulties in earning a livelihood and debts.

It is surely unnecessary to explain at length that such activity is one of the means of reducing these worries. As our Torah*, the Torah of life, teaches: one who accepts upon himself the yoke of Torah* is freed from the constraints of the world. And our Sages speak specifically of a "yoke," which means that all of this may seem difficult, that one could even logically distance oneself from it. Despite this, one must accept this yoke, and it is precisely in this way that one diminishes the constraints of the world and of material existence.

I do not mean that you must take on tasks of a technical nature when they can be entrusted to others. However, every activity must have a responsible person who will ensure that everything is carried out in the most effective manner. Not everyone is necessarily capable of assuming such responsibility. Moreover, experience and work habits are also necessary.

May Hashem grant that in all of this, you succeed in fulfilling the will of our holy masters — to infuse chassidic* light and vitality into your entire surroundings, through the Chabad* women and girls, including reaching the outside.

And the Holy One, blessed be He, will reward you "measure for measure" (see note 2), adding light and vitality to what concerns you personally, in the home of each of your participants, and above all for those who devote themselves to this task and direct their efforts toward it.

With blessing, to give good news of all this, and for a luminous Chanukah*, greeting each of the participants,

בנועם קראתי במכתב בעלה שליט"א ע"ד ההמשך בעסקנותה במסגרת נשי ובנות חב"ד, אף שמוסיף שקצת מבלבלות בזה דאגות שונות דפרנסה, חובות וכיו"ב.

ובודאי למותר להסביר באריכות אשר התעסקות האמורה היא אחת הסגולות למיעוט דאגות האמורות, וע"פ הוראת תורתנו תורת חיים, המקבל עליו עול תורה מעבירים ממנו עול דרך ארץ, ומדייקים חכמנו ז"ל לאמר עול . ז. א. אף שנדמה הדבר לקשה לפעמים אינו מסתבר כ"כ בשכל ובהבנה, בכל זה על האדם לעשותו בדרך קבלת עול, וזוהי העצה למיעוט עול עניני עולם, עול דרך ארץ.

מובן שאין כוונתי שתעמיס על עצמה ענינים טכנים שאפשר לעשותם ע"י אחרים, אבל הרי בכל דבר צ"ל אחראי, וזה המתענין שהענינים יעשו באופן הכי יעיל ולא כל אחד או אחת מסוגלים לשאת באחריות זו, נוסף על שדרוש לזה נסיון ורגילות בעבודה.

ויהי רצון שתצליח בכל האמור למלאות כוונת רבותנו נשיאנו הק' להחדיר אור וחיות חסידותי בכל סביבתן דרך מסגרת נשי ובנות חב"ד גם חוצה, ושכרן במדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה להוסיף אור וחיות גם בעניניהן הפרטים בבתיהן של כאו"א מהחבירות, ולכל לראש מהמתעסקות ומשתדלות תי'.
