Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from Thursday of Parshas Mikeitz*, in which you tell me that you are thinking of abandoning the idea of buying a house, due to the changes inherent in this period (see note 1).

In my opinion, these changes do not concern you (see note 2). From my perspective, the only element that changes is the fact that we are drawing closer to the coming of our righteous Moshiach*. One must therefore devote oneself even more clearly to Torah* and mitzvos* in general, and to the dissemination of Chassidus*, its customs and its practices, in particular.

In all other areas, one should maintain the conduct one had previously, when all was well. Indeed, "the Guardian of Yisrael* neither slumbers nor sleeps."

Hashem grants His Providence to each individual personally, always and every day. He protects wherever one may be, and very soon He will liberate us from the exile and grant us the true and complete Redemption, through our righteous Moshiach*.

במענה על מכתבו מיום ה' מקץ, שכותב שמפני שינוי הזמן אפשר יעזוב הרעיון דבר קנין הבית.

לדעתי שינוי הזמן לא נוגע לו אפילו את"ל שיש שינוי הזמן, ולדעתי שינוי הזה הוא שמתקרבים לביאת משיח צדקנו ובמילא צריכים להתעסק יותר בעניני תורה ומצות בכלל והפצת תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי' ביחוד, וכל יתר הדברים צריכים להתנהג כבשנים בתיקונן ושומר ישראל לא ינום ולא יישן משגיח בהשגחה פרטית בתכ"י וישמרם בכל מקום שהם ובקרוב יגאלנו מן הגלות בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה ע"י משיח צדקנו.
