Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of 18 Kislev*. What you say about the study program (see note 2) has been forwarded to the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch*, and that organization will contact you in this regard, in accordance with the procedure in effect here.

You refer to a constitution (see note 3) for the yeshivah*. It is obvious that, as a general rule, it is preferable not to bind oneself. Nevertheless, certain constitutions involve only a light commitment. A copy of the regulations in effect here will be sent to you, and if appropriate, you will adopt the same — or even, to the extent possible, abridge it.

Above all, one must be cautious in the election of the directorate (see note 4) and in the designation, from time to time, of new leaders (see note 5). Likewise, it must be established in these regulations that certain principles are immutable — in particular everything concerning the spiritual dimension.

Surely you took advantage of the days of the 10th of Kislev* (see note 6), Yud-Tes Kislev* (see note 7), and Chanukah*, in the appropriate manner, to disseminate the wellsprings (see note 8) of Chassidus* in general and to strengthen the institutions in particular. You will give me good and detailed news in this regard.

May Hashem grant you success in acting in all these domains, in good health, in true joy, and with considerable success.

במ"ש אודות קאנסטיטוציא בשביל הישיבה, מובן שבכלל איז גלייכער ניט בינדען זיך, ולאידך גיסא ישנם קאנסטיטוציעס כאלו שאופן הבינדען שלהם הוא מקיף, ויושלח לו העתק התקנון שנעשה כאן, ובלית ברירה יש להשתמש בו, ובאם אפשרי לקצר עוד יותר, ומובן שבהעיקר צריכה זהירות בבחירת הדירעקטארען ובאופן הבחירות של דירעקטארען חדשים מזמן לזמן, כן מובן שמההכרח לקבוע שישנם ענינים שהם בבל ישונה - בעצם התקנון - בהנוגע לרוחניות הענינים וכיו"ב...

בודאי ניצלו ימי יו"ד וי"ט כסלו וחנוכה להפצת המעינות בכלל ולהתפתחות המוסדות ביחוד, ויודיע בשורות טובות ומפורטות בזה, והשי"ת יצליחו לעבוד בכל הנ"ל מתוך בריאות הנכונה ושמחה אמיתית ובהצלחה מופלגה.
