To the distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Yitzchak David (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the eve of this Shabbos*.

I read with pleasure that you deliver chassidic* discourses, that you organize talks and chassidic* gatherings. No doubt you will continue these activities and, to the extent possible, develop them. You know the teaching of our holy masters that an effort is never in vain. And one can verify that this is indeed so.

You tell me that the members of the community are not helping you with the construction of the new building (see note 2). One must not be affected by this in any way. You must carry out your mission with chassidic* faith, light, and enthusiasm.

This is how you will know success — moreover, you will multiply this light and this vitality also among those who, for the moment, are not lending their support in the appropriate manner.

May Hashem grant you the merit and the success of giving good news of all this.

נעם לי לקרות בו אודות המאמרים שחוזר, השיחות וההתועדות שערך, ובודאי ימשיך בזה ובהוספה אם אפשרי, וכבר ידוע ונראה גם במוחש פתגם רבותנו הק', חזקה לתעמולה שאינה חוזרת ריקם.

ומ"ש אודות המגרעות בהסיוע מהבע"ב לעבודה בענין בנין החדש אין להתרשם מזה כלל, ועליו לעשות ענינו באמונה באור וחיות חסידותי, ובמילא תתברך בהצלחה ולא עוד אלא שעי"ז יתוסף אור וחיות גם באלו שלע"ע אין משתפים פעולה כדבעי, ויזכהו השי"ת ויצליחו לבשר טוב בכל האמור.
