To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Chaim Tzvi (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 13 Teves. In the meantime, I have also received the book Re'ach Dudaim*, which you published. I thank you for thinking to send it to me.

I have arranged for books published by Kehot* to be sent to you. These deal with Chassidus*, with the wellsprings* of the Baal Shem Tov*, whose dissemination will bring the coming of our righteous Mashiach*, in accordance with the promise that was given, as he himself relates in a letter.

You ask me how Chabad* regards the Dinov* lineage (see note 2) and its works. I have heard nothing on this subject.

You also ask me about the text of the Minchah* prayer on Shabbos*, according to the Chabad custom. This appears in our Siddur*: "The Shabbosos of Your holiness, and they rested in them." Both expressions (see note 3) are in the plural (see note 4).

You surely participate in the gatherings of the Chassidim, in general, and especially those on propitious days, for example the luminous dates of the month of Kislev* which has just passed.

Likewise, you are surely aware of the three daily studies that pertain to everyone, established by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, of blessed memory. These consist of Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*. You will observe them, at least from now on.

במענה על מכתבו מי"ג טבת, כן נתקבל בינתים גם הספר ריח דודאים אשר הו"ל, ות"ח על שימת לבבו בשילוחו, ובקשתי שישלחו לו מספרי הוצאת קה"ת בתורת הדא"ח הן מעיינות הבעש"ט שבהפצתם יקוים היעוד בביאת משיח צדקנו, וכידוע באגרת הקדש של הבעש"ט בזה.

בשאלתו אודות יחס חב"ד להשלשלת דדינוב וספריו, לא שמעתי בזה.

ובמ"ש אודות נוסח חב"ד בתפלת מנחה שבת, הוא ככתוב בסדורנו: שבתות קדשך וינוחו בם, שניהם לשון רבים*.

בודאי משתתף בהתועדות אנ"ש בכלל ובפרט בימי הסגולה ובדוגמת הימים הבהירים אשר בחדש כסלו שזה עתה אזלינן מנייהו כן בטח יודע משלשת השיעורים השוים לכל נפש מתקנת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע בחומש תהלים ותניא ועכ"פ ישמור אותם מכאן ולהבא.
