Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from this Monday.

As you request, I will mention your name and that of your wife at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, so that you may receive the satisfaction of your needs, in accordance with the content of your letter.

You tell me that you are isolated and that you have no one to turn to. Yet you know the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe (see note 1), that Chassidus* made manifest that Jews are bound to one another, that in every place where a person goes, he is never isolated.

As you know, it is reported in the name of the Baal Shem Tov* that the commandment: "You shall love your fellow as yourself" applies also to one who is at the other extremity of the world and whom one has never seen. Moreover, precisely "as the face reflects in water" (see note 2), one can affect the person who is at the other end of the earth and awaken in him a similar feeling.

Surely you participate in the gatherings of the Chassidim* in your city, and from time to time you strengthen not only your study of the revealed dimension of the Torah but also that of Chassidus.

May Hashem* grant you success.

במענה על מכתבו מיום השני.

כבקשתו אזכירו ואת זוגתו תחי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להמצטרך להם מתאים לכתבו.

ומה שכותב שגלמוד הוא ואין לו למי לפנות וכו' כבר ידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, שהחסידות חידשה שבני ישראל מקושרים זע"ז ובכל מקום שהאדם הולך ונמצא איננו גלמוד וכידוע המסופר בשם הבעש"ט אשר ואהבת לרעך כמוך הוא אפילו לאיש יהודי הנמצא בקצוי תבל ושמעולם לא ראהו וכו' ולא עוד אלא שכמים הפנים לפנים גו' פועל זה על הנמצא בקצוי תבל שגם אצלו מתעורר רגש זה.

בודאי משתתף בהתועדויות אנ"ש אשר במחנו הט' ומזמן לזמן מוסיף לא רק בשיעורי לימוד הנגלה אלא גם בשיעורי לימוד החסידות והשי"ת יצליחו.
