To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*,
Rav Shmuel* (see note 1), the shochet*,
Greetings and blessings,
I was pleased to learn of your participation in the Chassidic farbrengen* of the hilula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe (see note 2), whose merit protects us, leader of Israel. May Hashem grant that in this farbrengen as well, the well-known statement of our Sages be fulfilled: "From this hilula (see note 3) from which we come, one must seize everything that is eaten and everything that is drunk" (see note 4).
Chassidus* explains that one must eat and drink the Torah and its mitzvos*, which are compared to bread and water. And one must, furthermore, "come from it" — that is, experience advancement among those who stand still (see note 5).
Fortunate is your portion! Through you have been printed, and continue to be printed, several Chassidic discourses and talks, calling upon every Jew to serve Hashem in the manner just described. The merit of all depends upon you.
With my blessing that you convey good tidings and that we meet at future Chassidic farbrengens,

נעמה לי השתתפותו בהתועדות יום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל ויהי רצון שגם בהתועדות זו יקוים פירוש רז"ל הידוע בי הילולא דאזלינן מני' חטוף ואכול חטוף ושתי וביאורו ע"פ תורת החסידות חטוף ואכול חטוף ושתי בעניני תורה ומצותי' שנמשלו ללחם ומים וכו' וצריך להיות באופן דאזלינן מני' אשר האדם נעשה מהלך בין העומדים האלה ואשרי חלקו שעל ידו נדפסו והולכים ונדפסים כמה מאמרים ושיחות המעוררים את האיש הישראלי לעבודה האמורה וזכות הרבים תלוי בו.
בברכה לבשו"ט ולהתראות בהתועדיות חסידותיות הבע"ל.
