Greetings and blessings,

I have learned with pleasure that you have undertaken to prepare the second edition of the Sefer HaRikma*, published by Dr. Michael Wilenski (see note 1), by adding notes written by the deceased (see note 2) after the publication of the first edition.

I knew the deceased. He was a man of great capabilities and was particularly meticulous. I was in Berlin when he was conducting research on this book. I observed how deeply he invested himself in this task, how he devoted himself to it day and night.

I take the liberty of wishing you success with this second edition, which will complement the first through its construction and its erudition — qualities that the deceased valued so greatly.

בנועם נודעתי אשר כ' קבל על עצמו עיבוד והכנה להו"ל מהדורה שני' של ספר הרקמה בהוצאת ד"ר מיכאל ע"ה ווילנסקי, בתוספת הערותיו של המנוח לאחרי המהדו"ק.

הכרתי את המנוח ז"ל כבעל כשרונות מצויינים ודייקנות מיוחדה, ובהיותי בברלין בזמן שעסק במחקר הספר הנ"ל ראיתיו שקוע בו ראשו ורובו ומשים לילות כימים בעבודתו זו.

ואשרה לי לאחל לכ' הצלחה במהדורה השני' שעוד תוסיף על המ[ה]דו"ק בשכלול ומדעיות שכל כך חביבים היו על המנוח.
