To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*,
Rav Nachum Yaakov* (see note 1),
Greetings and blessings,
I read with pleasure in your letter that a Chassidic gathering was organized on the occasion of the luminous day of 19 Kislev* (see note 2). I hope that you endeavored to do the same for the day of the hilula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, which fell on Shabbos Shirah* (see note 3).
May Hashem grant that the impact of this Chassidic gathering and of the words of encouragement that were spoken there be felt throughout the entire year.
It is surely unnecessary to emphasize to you the great importance of Kollel Chabad*, which is in the Holy Land. In every place, one must do everything possible to strengthen it. You know the letters written on this subject by our holy masters. These need no endorsement.
Consequently, I am hopeful not only that you will find a way not to diminish the participation that has been given until now, but moreover, that you will strive and succeed in increasing it, in accordance with the needs, the additional expenses, and the constraints of the times.
May Hashem grant you success in this as well.

...נעם לי לקרות במכתבו מעריכת התועדות בקשר עם יום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, ותקותי שגם בקשר עם יום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע הוא שבת שירה העבר השתדלו בכגון דא, ויה"ר שרושם ההתועדות ודברי ההתעוררות שנאמרו יהי' ניכר רישומם במשך כל השנה.
בודאי למותר להאריך בגודל הענין של כולל חב"ד באה"ק ת"ו וההשתדלות בהחזקתו מכל מקום ומקום, והרי ידועים מכתבי רבותנו נשיאנו הק' בזה אשר אין דבריהם צריכים הסכמה, שלכן תקותי חזקה שלא רק שימצא העצה שלא יוגרע בהתרומות דעד עכשיו אלא שגם ישתדלו ואז יצליחו להגדיל התרומות ככל הדרוש מתאים לההוצאות שנתוספו והכרח השעה, והשי"צ יצליח גם בזה.
