To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*,
Rav Yaakov Meir* (see note 1),
Greetings and blessings,
You ask me in what order one should study the Tanya*.
It would be good to learn first the third part (see note 2), then the second (see note 3), the first (see note 4), and the fourth (see note 5).
As is the case for the other parts of the Torah, one does not delve into the specific aspects the first times one studies this text, nor does one raise objections from other texts (see note 6). Indeed, our Sages say: "First one understands, then one delves deeper."
