To the committee organizing the Chassidic gatherings of the

Melaveh Malkah*, at its head, the Rav, distinguished Chassid*

who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Moshe HaKohen* (see note 1),

may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I learned in due time, with pleasure, of the creation of your committee, and then of the regular organization of the Meal of Dovid*, the King Moshiach*, every week, at the conclusion of Shabbos*.

May Hashem grant that the imprint of this meal be preserved throughout the week that follows it, as was said at the Chassidic gathering on the day of the hilula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe (see note 2), whose merit protects us, based on an explanation of the Beis Yosef*, in Orach Chaim*, chapter 300. Several Siddurim* describe its importance (see note 3) and what results from it for the days of the week that follow.

Our Sages say that "when ten Jews gather together, the Divine Presence is revealed," even if they do not study the Torah, as the Tanya* specifies in chapter 23 of Igeres HaKodesh*. How much more is It revealed when those who fear Hashem exchange words of Torah, words of encouragement toward the fear and love of Hashem.

All the participants of this gathering will therefore be blessed, together with the members of their families. They will obtain the satisfaction of their needs.

Moreover, this gathering was joyful, and the Zohar*, in Parshas Tetzaveh*, page 184b, says: "When a man has a luminous countenance here below, he receives the heavenly radiance. His joy arouses the joy of Hashem."

May Hashem grant that you know elevation, from one level to the next, until the promise is fulfilled: "You shall go out (see note 4) in joy" — with the true and complete redemption, through our righteous Moshiach (see note 5).

שלום וברכה!

בנועם קבלתי בעתה הידיעה מארגון ועד זה, ואח"כ הידיעות תמידין כסדרן מסעודתא דדוד מלכא משיחא מדי מוצש"ק.

ויהי רצון שיהי' רושם סעודה זו ניכר במשך כל ימי השבוע הבא לאחר כך, ועל פי המדובר בהתועדות יום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע ע"פ דברי הבית יוסף או"ח סי' ש' מה דאיתא בסידורים, שמשם מובן גודל פעולת ענין זה על כל עניני ימות החול שלאחרי'.

ויהי רצון אשר, במכל שכן ממאמר רז"ל אכל בי עשרה שכינתא שריא, דאף שאינם מדברים בדברי תורה (ראה תניא אגרת הקדש סי' כ"ג) שכינתא שריא, פשיטא שההשראה גדולה ביותר כשנדברו יראי ה' איש אל רעהו בדברי תורה ודברי התעוררות ליראת שמים ולאהבת ה', ומינה מתברכין כל המשתתפים בההתועדות, הם וב"ב שיחיו, בהמצטרך להם.

ובפרט שהמתועדים בהתועדות בשמחה הם, וידוע מאמר הזהר אשר כשהאדם למטה קיימא בנהירו דאנפין מתתא כדין הכי נהירין לי' מעילא וכו' חדוה דבר נש משיך לגבי' חדוה אחרא עילאה (זהר תצוה קפ"ד ב'). ויהי רצון שילכו מחיל אל חיל עד זמן קיום היעוד בשמחה תצאו, בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה על ידי משיח צדקנו.
