Greetings and blessings,
I have just received your request for a blessing, in addition to the information I received by telephone. I am surprised by all of this. We have discussed together, on several occasions, the fact that your melancholy is without foundation.
The children of Israel in general, and the Chassidim* in particular, must put into practice the injunction: "Serve Hashem* with joy," the importance of which is emphasized by the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov*, of his disciples, and of the disciples of his disciples. How much more so for one who belongs to the tribe of Levi, since "Hashem is his inheritance," especially when he is in the tent of Torah and prayer.
My surprise is therefore all the greater. And you will also consult the holy Zohar*, in Parshas Tetzaveh*, page 184d, which says: "Come and see... When a man has a luminous countenance here below, he receives the heavenly radiance." You will study this text attentively.
May Hashem grant that these words be engraved in your mind, and you will consult, on this subject, the Likkutei Torah*, at the end of Parshas Kedoshim*, at the discourse entitled "You Shall Honor the Elder."
All of this will have an effect on your daily life and will enable you to put into practice the injunction: "In all your ways, know Him," with true and deep joy.

ז"ע קבלתי הפ"נ שלו נוסף על הידיעות בטעלעפאן, ולפלא למרות זה שנדברנו זה כ"פ שאין כל יסוד למרה שחורה ח"ו, ואם על כאו"א דבני ישראל והחסידים ביחוד חל הציווי דעבדו את ה' בשמחה המודגש בתורת הבעש"ט ותל' ותלמידי תלמידיו, עאכו"כ משבט לוי הוא אשר ה' הוא נחלתו ונמצא באהלה של תורה ותפלה, ולכן פליאה האמורה גדולה כ"פ ככה, ויעוין ג"כ דברי הזהר הק' (תצוה קפ"ד ד') תא חזי כו' איהו קיימא בנהירו דאנפין מתתא כדין הכי נהירין לי' מעילא עיי"ש היטב.
ויה"ר שיוחקקו דברים אלה בזכרונו (עיין לקו"ת סוף פרשת קדושים ד"ה והדרת פני זקן) ויפעלו פעולתם בחיי היום יומים במילוי הציווי דבכל דרכיך דעהו, מתוך שמחה אמיתית ופנימיות.
