Greetings and blessings,

I have not received any news from you for a very long time, since your letter from the end of the month of Teves*, which itself followed a long interruption.

You refer to the professional faults of some teachers, who do not have a positive influence on the students' study.

In such a case, experience proves that by speaking with the teacher in a pleasant manner, several times in succession, one ultimately obtains a satisfactory result. Indeed, all the teachers surely possess the fear of Hashem*. If you speak to them about the divine mission, as defined by the Talmud and the Poskim*, in particular the laws of Torah study of the Alter Rebbe*, at the end of the first chapter (see note 1), it is certain that you will observe a positive development, and that this will also manifest itself in concrete action.

You tell me that you have succeeded in opening a cafeteria (see note 2), and I am pleased. You were also able to increase the number of meals served there. I await the rest of your good tidings in this matter. Indeed, "great is the shared meal, which brings people closer." Moreover, in this case, the mealtime is also devoted to education in customs and laws, as well as in proper conduct.

You will surely take advantage of Purim*, which is approaching, to strengthen the bonds between the students, the teachers, and — another point that is essential — the parents of students. This is directly linked to education and, furthermore, has an intrinsic importance.

All of this is called education, which is described as a sacred mission, with the merit and responsibility that this implies. There are no words to describe the reward.

I have duly received your request for a blessing.

שלום וברכה!

זה זמן רב ביותר שלא נתקבלו ממנו כל ידיעות, והוא מעת מכתבו משילהי טבת אשר גם הוא בא לאחרי הפסק הארוך.

ובמ"ש אודות המגרעות בעבודת איזה מורים, ושזה אינו משפיע לטוב על אופן לימודם עם התלמידים וכו'.

הנה רואים במוחש בכגון דא, אשר כשמדברים עם המורה בדרכי נועם פעם אחר פעם סו"ס מצליחים בזה, ובפרט שהרי כל המורים-ות בודאי יראים וחרדים לדבר ה', וכשמסבירים הענין דעושה מלאכת ה' ע"פ המבואר בש"ס ופוסקים ומהם בהלכות ת"ת לרבנו הזקן סוף פרק א', בודאי יעשה כל זה שינוי לטוב, ושינוי הנוגע במעשה בפועל.

נהניתי במ"ש שהצליח בפתיחת המסעדה, ואשר עלה בידו גם להגדיל מספר הארוחות, ואחכה להמשך בשורותיו הטובות בזה, והרי גדולה לגימה שמקרבת, ובפרט שבכגון דא זמן האכילה יש לנצלו לחינוך במנהגי ודיני ישראל בהלכות דרך ארץ וכו' וכו'.

בודאי ינצלו ימי הפורים הבע"ל לחיזוק הקשרים שבין התלמדים-ות מורים-ות, ועוד וגם זה עיקר הוא עם ההורים של התלמידים תלמידות, שנוסף על זה שנוגע זה לחינוך התלמידים-ות, הרי גם הענין מצ"ע כהשפעה על ההורים נעלה הוא ביותר וגם זה עבודת חינוך היא ונקראת מלאכת ה' עם כל הזכות והאחריות הקשורים בזה וגודל השכר אשר אין די באר.
