Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your express letter of 29 Shevat*, with its contents, in which you describe the state of health of your mother, may Hashem grant her long life.

It seems that the herbal doctor has been successful in her case. It would therefore be good to inform him of the treatments she has recently followed and to communicate to him the medical analyses which I am returning to you with this letter (see note 1). In the future, you should follow his prescription, especially since, according to the doctor currently treating her, the regimen proposed by the one who uses herbs is indeed appropriate.

If the two doctors (see note 2) can consult with each other, that will be perfect. If this is not possible, you should defer to the one who heals with herbs.

I send you my blessing for all of this, regarding your concerns in general, and more specifically for your activity among the youth of the Chabad association and with your former friends. I hope that you are still in contact with those whom you met on Yud-Tes Kislev* (the 19th of Kislev*), before and after that.

במענה על מכתבו המהיר מכ"ט שבט עם המוסגר בו, בו כותב אודות מצב בריאות אמם שתליט"א.

וכיון ההנהגה של הד"ר הצמחוני, הצליחה בהנוגע לאמם - מהנכון שיודיעו לו מהטפולים בזמן האחרון הבחינות של הד"ר וכו' (המוחזרים בזה), ויעשו כהוראתו בהנוגע להבא, ובפרט כפי שכתבו הרופא המטפל עם אמו עתה - אומר שהדיעטא של הצמחוני מתאימה היא. ואם אפשר לעשות התיעצות של שני הרופאים מה טוב, אבל באם אי אפשר יש לסמוך על חוות דעת הרופא הצמחוני.

בברכה לבשו"ט בהנ"ל וכן בענינים הכללים, וביחוד בהנוגע לפעולות צעירי אגו"ח והפעולות עם חבירו מלפנים. תקותי שעומד בקשר גם עם אלו שהכירם בימי י"ט כסלו העבר ושלפניו ושלאחריו.
