Igrot Kodesh · Letter 5245 — Health
Volume 14 · Letter 503
By the grace of Hashem,
3 Adar Sheini* 5717,
Brooklyn,
Blessings and greetings,
I am responding to your letter, announcing good news — the improvement in the health of your daughter, may Hashem grant her long life. I hope that upon receiving the present letter, she is feeling even better and that this improvement will continue thereafter. May you derive true satisfaction from her and from all your family — a Jewish satisfaction.
In addition, you ask me for advice. In a case such as the one you describe, it is preferable not to intervene between your daughter and her husband. In this way, they will eventually come to an understanding. And even if one cannot prevent the intervention of third parties, it is preferable that this not come from you. In this way, the others will also cease to meddle, seeing that the same is true on the other side.
It is no doubt not easy to always adopt this attitude. Nevertheless, you will tell yourself that you are doing this for the good of your daughter and, in this way, you will surely succeed.
We are approaching the days of Purim*, and may Hashem grant that very soon you announce good news to me.
With my blessing,
For the Rebbe Shlita*,
