To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav Azriel Zelig (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

After a long interruption, I have received your letter, which was undated, in which you briefly describe what is happening with you. I am surprised by the length of the interval between two letters.

And if there is nothing to report, that is even more surprising. Our Sages say, indeed, that each day must have its own content. How much more is this the case in our era of ikvesa d'Meshicha* (see note 2), when the spreading of the wellsprings (see note 3) to the outside is indispensable. And if this mission rests upon everyone, how much more so does it rest upon a former student of the Yeshivah* and upon the daughter of a former student of the Yeshivah* (see note 4). This is self-evident.

It is said that there are obstacles. Nevertheless, Chassidus* affirms that every obstacle exists for the purpose of being vanquished and overcome. It is quite clear that it must not prevent things from being accomplished.

May Hashem grant that you act in this manner, at least from now on. Thus, Hashem will grant you success and your city will become Chassidic. For nothing withstands determination.

P.S.: You ask me about the summer day camp this year. It is evident that this is a good initiative. Nevertheless, it is not enough to maintain it as it is. One must, moreover, enlarge and develop it, in conformity with the principle that one ascends in matters of holiness.

לאחרי הפסק הארוך נתקבל מכתבו - בלי הוראת זמן הכתיבה - בו כותב ראשי נקודות מהנעשה אצלו, ולפלא ההפסק ארוך ממכתב אחד לחבירו ואם הסיבה שאין מה להודיע, הרי התמי' גדולה עוד יותר שהרי ידוע הציווי שצ"ל כל יומא ויומא עביד עבידתי' ובפרט בתקופתנו דדרא דעקבתא דמשיחא שמוכרח הפצת המעינות חוצה, ואם על כאו"א לעסוק בזה עאכו"כ תמים ובת תמים וק"ל. ומה שאומרים אשר ישנם עכובים וכו' כבר מבואר בתורת החסידות שכל העכוב הוא בשביל שינצחו אותו ויתגברו עליו ולא בא בשביל שיעכב בפועל ופשוט, ויה"ר שעכ"פ מכאן ולהבא ימלא את האמור וחפץ ה' בידו יצליח לעשות את מחנם הט' מחנה חסידותית, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
