Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter, in which you describe your studies. You tell me that you still experience difficulty concentrating.

You will ask your mashpia* (spiritual guide) to indicate to you the chapters of the Tanya* that deal with this subject, showing that a person must not become discouraged when he struggles against the evil inclination — quite the contrary — as is explained at length in these texts.

You know the promise of our holy Torah*, according to which "one who makes efforts will see them crowned with success." Moreover, you have become a student of a Yeshivah* founded by our holy masters, whose merit protects us, and they invoke divine mercy for each one who pursues their studies there, so that they succeed in their effort for the Torah* and the Mitzvos*.

May Hashem grant that you give me good news of all this, that you experience elevation from time to time in matters of holiness, and that you influence your friends in this direction.

יבקש את המשפיע שלו להורותו הפרקים בתניא המדברים בענינים כגון אלו, ואיך שאל יפול לב האדם עליו ע"י מלחמות היצר ואדרבה וכמבואר שם בארוכה, וידועה הבטחת תורתנו הק' יגעת ומצאת, ובפרט שנכנס ללמוד בישיבה מיסודם של רבוה"ק זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע המעוררים ר"ר על כאו"א מהלומדים בה להצלחה בעמלם בתורה ובמצות ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל האמור ואשר מוסיף מזמן לזמן ומעלה בקדש ומשפיע גם על חבריו בכל זה.
