Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from erev Shabbos* and to the one that preceded it. You ask me the meaning of my statement that you can use your capabilities for Chabad* education.

In addition to teaching a class, you must also concern yourself with the possibility of directing the older students. There are various ways to do this that justify a salary (see note 2), and if, for the time being, they do not exist, it is appropriate to create them.

Of course, one should not wait for others to concern themselves with this and come to you with a detailed proposal. In our era, one must also know how to create one's own functions (see note 3).

במענה על מכתבו מעש"ק והקודמו, בו שואל פירוש מה שכתבתי לו שיכול לנצל כשרונותיו בחינוך חב"ד... נוסף על לימודו עם כתת תלמידים, צריך הוא להתענין בהשפעה על מבוגרים, שבודאי יש בזה גם אופנים שהם ע"מ לקבל פרס. ואם לע"ע אינם יש להשתדל ליוצרם. ופשוט שאין לחכות עד שאחרים יתעסקו ויבואו אליו בהצעה מפורטת, כי בתקופתנו זו צריך להיות יוצר המשרה ג"כ...
