Greetings and blessings,

You informed me that your daughter Hena is marrying a young man, Rav Yosef (see note 2), and here is my response.

I send you my blessing, a blessing of Mazal Tov*, Mazal Tov*. May this union take place at a good and fruitful time. May they build a Jewish home, an eternal edifice, based on the Torah* and the mitzvos*, as they are illuminated by the luminary of the Torah*, that is, by Chassidus*.

You and your wife will derive from them much Chassidic* satisfaction.

With my blessing of Mazal Tov*, Mazal Tov*,

You propose an answer to the objection that Rabbi Akiva Eiger* raises against the Ran*, in tractate Nedarim* 79a, based on the explanation of the Rashba*, in tractate Kiddushin* 50a.

One may, however, ask how the Ran* could adopt such reasoning, when he elsewhere disagrees with the Rashba* on the same question. You should consult the Ran*, in tractate Kiddushin* 50a.
