Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letters of 28 Teves*, 5 and 27 Shevat*, 12, 23 and 25 Adar Rishon*, and 11 Adar Sheini*. No doubt you will continue to write to me, in an even more detailed manner. I am surprised not to have received from you press clippings for some time now. Indeed, during this period, articles have surely been published about Chabad*. And if this has not been the case, the astonishment (see note 2) is even greater.

I received the translated talks (sichos*) (see note 3), up to page 81. For the time being, I have not had the time to review them in the proper manner.

In your letter of 23 Adar Rishon*, you tell me that you recently visited Mr. E. S. (see note 4). Since then, you have not mentioned this again. No doubt you will clarify this point in your next letter. You will also tell me whether you were able to meet the people with whom you wanted to discuss the book of Mr. Friedberg.

The following books of the great Rav Margolis are in the library (see note 5): the first edition of the Zohar*, of the Tikkunei Zohar*, of the Zohar Chadash*, and of the Sefer HaBahir*, with the Nitzutzin*. There is also the Shaarei Zohar* and the pamphlet "The Rambam* and the Zohar*." Of course, subsequent editions are also of interest, if they contain additions.

It would be good to give him the Sdei Chemed* as a gift, pointing out to him that this is the practice (see note 6) toward all those who send their works here, to the library.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתביו מכ"ח טבת. ה' כ"ז שבט. י"ב כ"ג וכ"ה אד"ר וי"א אד"ש, ובודאי ימשיך בכתיבה להלן בפרטיות יותר, ולפלא על שזה מזמן רב שלא נתקבל כל קטעי מכ"ע, אף שבודאי הדפיסו במשך הזמן מעניני חב"ד, ואת"ל שלא הדפיסו הרי הפלא גדול עוד יותר.

השיחות המתורגמות עד עמוד פ"א נתקבל ועדיין לא הי' הזמן גרמא לעיין בהם כדבעי.

במכתבו מכ"ג אד"ר כותב שיבקר ימים אלו את מר א. ש. ומאז אינו מזכיר עד"ז דבר, ובטח ימלא גם עד"ז במכתבו הבא וכן אם נפגש עם אותן שהי' רוצה לדבר עמם בהנוגע לספרו של מר פרידברג.
