To the Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem
and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav Peretz (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

After a long interruption, I have duly received your letter of 22 Adar Sheini*, conveying good news regarding your two sons (see note 2), may Hashem grant them long life.

May Hashem grant you success and the merit to give good news in all domains, in a visible and tangible good, until the Creator of the world, Who directs it, liberates them from constriction to expansiveness, with goodness and mercy.

In accordance with the explanation given by various texts, all Jews constitute one great organism. How much more so is this the case for parents and children. Of course, the more you multiply your actions and the mitzvos* that you must observe more scrupulously, the more you will come to the aid of your sons, may Hashem grant them long life — far more than by sending them parcels.

Now, it is clear that, as far as you are concerned, in your current situation, your mitzvah*, in particular, is the spreading of the wellsprings (see note 3), in every place where this is possible, in the city where you currently reside.

And even if obstacles and barriers arise in this domain, Purim* has the power to bring about the transformation. Moreover, nearly all of these obstacles are merely appearances, as one can concretely verify, including after only a brief reflection.

לאחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מכ"ב אד"ש בבשורה הטובה בהנוגע לשני בניו שליט"א, והשי"ת יצליחו ויזכה לבשר טוב בכל הענינים ובהנוגע עליהם בטוב הנראה והנגלה עד שיוציאם בורא עולם ומנהיגו מן המיצר אל המרחב בחסד וברחמים.

וע"פ המבואר בכ"מ אשר כל ישראל קומה שלימה הם ובפרט הורים ובנים, מובן ופשוט שככל שירבה הוא בענינו ובמצותו שצריך להיות זהיר בהם טפי, זה יהי' הסיוע בהנוגע לבניו שליט"א בערך הרבה יותר מאשר שילוח חבילות וכיו"ב, ובודאי שמצוה הנ"ל בהנוגע אליו במצבו עתה - מצותו ביחוד - היא הפצת המעינות חוצה בכל מקום האפשרי במחנו עתה, ואפילו אם היו בזה העלמות והסתרים הרי מסוגלת הפורים הוא דונהפוך הוא, ועאכו"כ שרובם ככולם של העלמות הם רק דמיונות וכנראה במוחש אפילו בהתבוננות קלה.
