Blessings and greetings,

You write to me about your candlestick (see note 1). It is quite evident that no attention should be paid to what happened.

This only means that there exists a lack of study of the luminary of the Torah* — that is, of its inner dimension (see note 2). No doubt your husband devotes himself to this in a manner totally insufficient relative to his capabilities and to what is necessary.

If he takes the decision to make a positive change in this direction and begins to put it into practice, everything will be resolved and good will even result from it. Your home will be illuminated by "the candle (which) is a mitzvah* and the Torah* (which) is a light," as well as by the luminary of the Torah* that has been revealed in our era and which it is therefore possible to understand, thanks to Chabad* Chassidus*.

May Hashem grant you success so that you give me good news of all this.

With my blessing for a kosher and joyous Pesach*,

P.S.: I am surprised that you say nothing about your participation in the activities of the Chabad* women and girls.

May Hashem grant that at least in the future, you contribute your participation to the fullest extent of what is necessary.

...במה שכותבת אודות הפמוט - פשוט שאין צריכה לשים לב לזה כלל, כי אין זה אלא הוראה שחסר בענין הלימוד במאור שבתורה זאת אומרת פנימיות התורה, שבטח בעלה עוסק בזה במדה שאינה מספקת כלל בערך ליכולתו והדרוש, ובמילא כשיחליט לשינוי לטוב בזה ויתחיל להביא השינוי בפועל, יפתר הענין לאשורו ויהפך גם לטוב שיהי' ביתם מואר בנר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה שבדורנו נתגלה בהבנה בתורת חסידות חב"ד, והשי"ת יצליחה לבשר טוב בכל האמור.
