To each and every resident of Kfar Chabad*,
founded by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit shields us,
may Hashem* grant you long life,

Warm greetings and blessings,

On the occasion of the Festival of Matzos*, the time of our freedom, which approaches for us and for all of Yisrael*, for the good, I convey to each and every one of you my blessing for a kosher and joyous festival, for a true freedom — to be released from material and spiritual worries, from everything that prevents one from serving Hashem with joy and enthusiasm.

May Hashem grant that you preserve this freedom and this joy throughout the entire year.

Moreover, the service of Hashem, as our Torah, the Torah of life, commands us, applies to everything that concerns a person, throughout the entire day and night.

It is stated: "In all your ways, acknowledge Him," as the Rambam* explains in his Laws of Character Traits, at the end of chapter 3. And the Halachah* takes this into account, in the Tur* and the Shulchan Aruch*, Orach Chaim, chapter 231.

The statement of the Zohar*, volume 3, pages 51b and 50a, is even more emphatic: "All of a person's actions must all be devoted to His holy Name, which he must mention with his mouth in everything he does, for everything is part of His service."

The purpose of all of this is specified by the verse: "Acknowledge Him," as it is stated: "And you shall know today," "Know the Elokim* of your father." The Rambam emphasizes, in the fifth of his Eight Chapters: "One should place before one's eyes, permanently, a single objective — the perception of the Divine. A person's actions and everything concerning him must lead him toward this objective."

I express the wish that Hashem grant you success so that the actions of Kfar Chabad, everything concerning it, may indeed tend toward this goal — that is, toward the wellsprings of Chassidus*, in accordance with the will of its founder, my father-in-law, the Rebbe. From this place, these wellsprings will spread outward.

Then the promise will be fulfilled: "As in the days of your Exodus from Egypt, I will show you wonders," at the true and complete redemption, very soon and truly in our days, through our righteous Moshiach*.

I convey my blessing for a kosher and joyous festival of Pesach*, in material and spiritual breadth, in true freedom, and for a healthy and joyous summer.

I have transmitted Matzah Shemurah* to the Rav and Chassid*, the distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem, Rav A. Dreizin. I have asked him to distribute it to the inhabitants of Kfar Chabad, through the committee of Kfar Chabad and the moral committee, directed by the Rav Shlita*, the authority of the place.

May Hashem grant that this Matzah exert its effect, in accordance with the words of our Sages, who call it "the food of faith" and "the food of healing," according to the explanation of the Alter Rebbe*, reproduced in the HaYom Yom*, on the date of 15 Nissan 5703.

שלום רב וברכה!

לקראת חג המצות, זמן חירותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הננני בזה להביע לכל אחד ואחת מהם את ברכתי לחג כשר ושמח ולחירות אמיתית, חירות מדאגות בגשם ומדאגות ברוח - מכל דבר המעכב עבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב.

ויהי רצון שימשיכו מחירות ושמחה זו בימי כל השנה כולה.

ובפרט שעבודת השם, שמצווה עלינו בתורתנו תורת חיים, הרי היא בכל עניני האדם ובמשך כל היום וכל הלילה.

וכמו שנאמר בכל דרכיך דעהו ונתבאר ברמב"ם (דעות סוף פרק ג') והובא להלכה בטור ושו"ע או"ח סי' רל"א.

ויתירה מזה בזוהר: בכל עובדוי דבר נש ליבעי לי דליהוון כולהו לשמא קדישא כו' לאדכרא בפומי' שמא קדישא על כל מה דאיהו עביד דכולא הוא לפולחני' (ח"ג נא, סע"ב. וראה שם נ, א).

והתכלית בזה - מפורשת בכתוב: דעהו. וכמ"ש וידעת היום גו' דע את אלקי אביך גו'. וכמבואר ברמב"ם (שמונה פרקים פ"ה): ישים לנגד עינית תמיד תכלית אחת, והוא השגת הש"י כו' וישים פעולותיו כו' וכל דבריו מביאים לזה התכלית.

ואני תפילה, אשר יעזור השי"ת ויצליח שפעולות כפר חב"ד וכל דבריו מכוונים יהיו ומביאים לזו התכלית, היא ענין מעינות החסידות, מתאים לרצון מייסדו הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, וממנו יפוצו המעינות חוצה.

עדי קיום היעוד כימי צאתך מארץ מצרים אראנו נפלאות, בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה במהרה בימינו ממש, על ידי משיח צדקנו.

בברכת חג הפסח כשר ושמח מתוך הרחבה בגו"ר וחירות אמיתית ולקיץ בריא ושמח.
