Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter and I am surprised by the lapse of time between your communications. In the meantime, you have surely received my letter, which was the response to the administration of the Yeshiva* Achei Temimim* of Rishon LeTzion, regarding the text to appear on the plaque and on the receipts.

You say that, having previously been a student of the Yeshiva of Kishinev (see note 2), you think you cannot be objective in this matter and therefore do not wish to lead the negotiations yourself. You will merely attend. This does not suit me at all. In our day, one cannot be content to be a spectator. Every capacity must be fully utilized and may Hashem grant that all of this suffice to satisfy the needs of the moment. You will therefore set aside the risk you mention by reflecting on this idea and discussing it with the other members of the administration. It is about such situations that it is said: "Do not be overly pious."

I send you my blessing, to convey good tidings of all of this, of what concerns you personally and of your participation in the activities of the Chabad association and of the young people of the Chabad association, particularly the spreading of the wellsprings (see note 3) outward, which is assuming ever broader proportions.

במענה על מכתבו, ולפלא ההפסק כ"כ בין מכתב אחד שלו להשני ובטח בינתים כבר נתקבל מכתבי מענה להנהלת ישיבת אחי תמימים בראשון לציון בהנוגע לנוסח השלט והקבלות, ומובן שמ"ש שכיון שלמד מלפנים בישיבת קישינוב, חושב בעצמו ששכלו מטעה, ולכן לא ינהל המו"מ וכו' ורק יעמוד מן הצד, אין זה נראה לי, כי בכלל עמידה מן הצד אין זה הנהגה בתקופתנו, שכל כח צריך לנצלו בכל המאה אחוז והלואי יספיק זה לדרישת השעה, והחשש הנ"ל ישלול אותו ע"י התבוננו והדיון בדבר עם שאר חברי ההנהלה, וגם על כגון דא נאמר, אל תצדק הרבה.

בברכה לבשו"ט בכל הנ"ל ובעניניו הפרטים ומהשתתפותו בפעולות אגו"ח וצעירי אגו"ח וביחוד הפצת המעינות חוצה ההולכת וגדלה הולכת ומתרחבת, ובברכת חג הפסח כשר ושמח.

בישיבת קישינוב: המדובר ב"איגוד תלמידי ישיבת קישינוב לשעבר", שארגן כנס מיוחד לתלמידי הישיבה בקישינוב, ובו הוחלט על "מפעל להנצחת ישיבת קישינוב" - "ע"י גיוס כספים בין תלמידיה לשעבר ובין יוצאי בסרביה בכלל לשם הקמת אגף חדש בבנין ישיבת "אחי תמימים" בראשון לציון".
