and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav Chaim Moshe (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the eve of the festival of Matzos*, time of our freedom, and to the telegram that preceded it.

I await good tidings of its content and I am surprised by your brevity where it would have been necessary to elaborate, concerning the examinations taken by the students of the Yeshiva* Tomchei Temimim* of France (see note 2) and the Chassidic gathering that took place after your return to the Holy Land, at Toras Emes, and then among the Chassidim* of other places, who surely did the same. May Hashem grant that you write to me in the greatest detail. In such a case, the more one provides the better. And the content will be gratifying, materially and spiritually.

Of course, this includes all your positive actions, as well as those of your wife, in accordance with what we discussed when you were here.

With my blessing to convey good tidings of all of this,

במענה על מכתבו מערב חג המצות זמן חירותנו והמברק שקדם לו.

אחכה לבשו"ט בתוכנם, ולפלא שמקצר במקום שאמרו להאריך הן בהנוגע לבחינות התלמידים בתו"ת דצרפת והן בהנוגע לההתועדות לאחר בואו לאה"ק ת"ו (הן בתורת אמת והן בתוככי אנ"ש שבשאר המקומות שבטח יעשו כזה), ויה"ר שיכתוב בפרטיות הכי גדולה, כי בכגון דא כל המפרט ה"ז משובח ויהי' התוכן משמח בגו"ר.

מובן שהנ"ל נכללות גם פעולות הטובות שלו ושל זוגתו תחי', מתאים למה שנדבר בהיותם כאן...
