Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the eve of the time of our freedom, in which you tell me that the classes are well organized and that they continue.

To someone like you, it is unnecessary to recall that man is "one who advances." He is asked to ascend in the domain of holiness and not to content himself with the situation that was his the day before yesterday, nor even yesterday or this morning. For each day must have its own content. You should consult the explanation of all this, according to Chassidus*, in wondrous terms, in chapter 14 of Iggeres HaKodesh* of the Alter Rebbe*. And, more precisely, this is so each day. You should study this text carefully. And the Holy One, blessed be He, demands only in accordance with the forces He grants. It is therefore certain that all possess those that enable them to put this pleasant injunction into practice.

What has just been said is also the response to the conclusion of your letter. You ask me what will be the end and the ultimate outcome, for what concerns you. There is no more laudable purpose than to bring the hearts of the children of Israel closer to our Father Who is in heaven, by spreading outward the wellsprings of the profound part of the Torah*, of its hidden teaching, which connects the hidden part of the soul to the Hidden Face of the Divine. This is self-evident.

May Hashem* grant that the time of our liberation inspire in you freedom from everything that hinders the service of Hashem, throughout the year and in all domains, as is explained concerning the verse "Acknowledge Him," in the Tur* and the Shulchan Aruch*, Orach Chaim*, chapter 231, and at the beginning of the fifth of the Eight Chapters of the Rambam*. You should study these texts carefully.

שלום וברכה!

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מאור לערב זמן חירותנו, בו כותב אשר השיעורים מסודרים ונמשכים,

ובודאי לדכוותי' למותר להדגיש שהאדם נקרא מהלך כיון שנצטוה מעלין בקדש ולא להסתפק בהמצב דשלשום ואפיל לא דאתמול והיום בקר, והרי כל יומא ויומא צ"ל עביד עבידתי', ויעיין ג"כ בזה הביאור ע"פ חסידות דברים נפלאים באגה"ק לרבנו הזקן סי' י"ד, ובפרטי פרטיות כן הוא בכל יום ויום, עיי"ש היטב, וכיון שאין הקב"ה מבקש אלא לפי כחן, בודאי שניתנו הכחות למלאות ציווי נעים זה,

ובהנ"ל תשובה גם לסיום מכתבו, מה יהיה הסוף והתכלית ממנו וכו' - כי אין לך תכלית טוב יותר מקירוב לבן של בני ישראל לאבינו שבשמים ע"י הפצת המעינות חוצה פנימיות התורה סתים דאורייתא שהיא המקשרת אפילו הסתים דנשמה עם הסתים דקוב"ה, וק"ל.

ויהי רצון שזמן חירותנו ישפיע גם עליו חירות מכל דברים המבלבלים מעבודת ה' אשר היא במשך כל השנה ובכל הענינים וכמבואר בהענין דבכל דרכיך דעהו, בטור שו"ע או"ח סי' רל"א ובשמונה פרקים להרמב"ם ריש פרק ה', יעו"ש היטב.
