To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*
and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav Tzion Rachamin (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

Divine Providence* placed you in a location where you can exercise an influence in order to strengthen Judaism and spread it, so that the hearts of the children of Israel draw closer to our Father Who is in heaven. And you know the saying of the Baal Shem Tov* (see note 2), which was communicated to us by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, according to which every Jewish man and every Jewish woman is loved by Hashem as an only child is loved by parents who had him at an advanced age — and even far more than that.

There are therefore no words to describe the reward that awaits the one who initiates such a rapprochement. He becomes the channel and the receptacle enabling the multiplication of the blessings of Hashem in all one's needs. Nevertheless, it is clear that to yourself as well apply the words of the verse: "Do not turn away from your own flesh." You must therefore, from time to time, intensify your study of the revealed dimension of the Torah* and of Chassidus*. And nothing withstands determination.

You are surely aware of a practice instituted by the elders, which consists of reading daily Tehillim* after the morning prayer, according to the monthly division. You will adopt it, at least from now on. And you will strive to establish it in every place where you exercise your influence.

.. וכיון אשר ההשגחה העליונה העמידתו במקום שיכול להשפיע בהחזקת היהדות והפצתה אשר על ידי זה מקרבין לבן של בני ישראל לאבינו שבשמים, וידוע פתגם הבעל שם טוב, ששמענוהו כ"פ מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אשר החביבות אצל הקב"ה של כל אחד ואחת מבני ישראל הוא כמו חביבות של בן יחיד שנולד להורים לעת זקנותם ועוד יותר אין ערוך מזה, מובן איפוא ששכר אדם הגורם קירוב הנ"ל אין די באר וזהו הצנור והכלי להוסיף בברכות השי"ת המצטרך אף שמובן גם כן שגם עליו נאמר ומבשרך לא תתעלם להוסיף בלימוד תוה"ק בנגלה וחסידות מזמן לזמן, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.

בטח יודע מתקנת קדמונים לאמר בכל יום לאחרי תפלת הבקר שיעור תהלים חדשי - כפי שנחלק התהלים לימי החדש - ועכ"פ ישמור על זה מכאן ולהבא, וישתדל להנהיג תקנה זו בכל קום שידו מגעת.
