Greetings and blessings,

After a long interruption, I have duly received your letter of 23 Nissan* and the two that preceded it. I thank you for the good news of the improvement in your mother's state of health.

I was particularly pleased to learn that the quantity of Matzah Shemurah* distributed has doubled (see note 2). I have great hope that this increase is not only quantitative but also qualitative — that is, that those who received it last year were even more inspired this year, that they have introduced this "food of faith" into everything that concerns them, since it is no longer the first time for them. And this result is still effective, for holiness does not leave its place, especially when one comes to encourage these people from time to time. I write all of this in order to show how the promise of our holy masters is fulfilled — that "effort is never in vain." Quite the contrary, it strengthens the effort that follows.

With time, these activities have surely been the subject of a publication in the magazine Machanayim*. It seems to me that I have already told you that the dissemination of each accomplishment must be linked to words of encouragement, direct or indirect, concerning concrete action in the domain of Judaism in the future. This is self-evident.

I hope that all those who are able participate in the enrollment (see note 3) in the proper manner, as well as in the other activities of Chabad*. May Hashem grant that in this as well, one may see with one's own eyes considerable success and a multiplication of divine blessings, including in the personal needs of those who take part in the action.

לאחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מכ"ג ניסן, וב' הקודמיו, ות"ל בעד הבשו"ט הטבת בריאות אמו תחי'.

נעם לי במאד לקרות אשר הכפילו הכמות דמצה שמורה שחלקו, שתקותי חזקה שלא רק בכמות נתוסף אלא גם באיכות, ז.א. שאפילו אלו שקבלו אשתקד נתוסף שנה זו בההתעוררות שלהם ובפעולות מיכלא דמהימנותא בעניניהם, כיון שזהו לא פעם הראשונה ורושם פעם הראשונה בטח עודנו ישנו שהרי קדושה אינה זזה ממקומה, ובפרט אם המעורר בא במגע בזמנים שונים בעניני התעוררות. וכותב הנני ע"ד האמור להדגיש קיום הבטחת רבותנו הק' חזקה לתעמולה שאינה חוזרת ריקם שזה מוסיף כח בתעמולה מכאן ולהבא.

בטח נדפס במשך הזמן גם במחנים אודות פעולות האמורות וכמדומה שכבר עוררתיו שכל הודעה ופרסום ע"ד פעולה יש לקשרה עם דברי התעוררות, אם במישרין או בעקיפין, ע"ד עניני יהדות בהנוגע לפועל להבא, וק"ל.

תקותי שכל היכולים להביא איזה תועלת משתתפים בהרישום ככל הדרוש נוסף על שאר הפעולות שבשטח חב"ד. ויה"ר שגם בזה יראו בעיני בשר ההצלחה המופלגה וההוספה בברכות השי"ת גם בעניניהם הפרטים של המתעסקים.
