To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*
and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav A.S. (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

After an interruption, I received with pleasure your letter from after Pesach*. I read therein, with pleasure, that you took part in the gathering at Kfar Chabad* and that you derived moral pleasure from it. May Hashem grant that in this gathering as well, the profound content of every Chassidic farbrengen* be fulfilled — that is, the influence that can be exercised upon ever more numerous and ever wider circles, bringing them the wellsprings of Chassidus*, its practices and its customs. In this way, those who learn of all this and lend it their support will be moistened to the point of moistening, in turn, all those they can reach. For nothing withstands determination.

Moreover, we are in the period of the Omer* and, from one day to the next, the light is increased — a light that is linked to the receiving of the Torah*, with joy and in a profound manner. It is for this reason that in counting the Omer one says "two days of the Omer" and not "second day" (see note 2). Indeed, the light of the previous day is not withdrawn. It accompanies the light of the day and is strengthened by it. And so one advances, from day to day, until one hears the divine call — "I am Hashem your Elokim*" — emanating from the four cardinal points, from above and from below, as the Midrash relates.

With my blessing to convey good tidings of all of this,
