To the youth leaders of the Chabad* association,

gathering of the holy city of Jerusalem,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you.

I have duly received your letter of 29 Nissan, with what was enclosed, and I am surprised that you tell me nothing of the preparations you have made to take advantage of the day of Lag BaOmer*, to visit the village of Miron and, above all, to carry out activities on the spot, in Jerusalem, to the fullest extent possible.

I specify "above all," even though it is forbidden to "weigh the value of the Mitzvos* of the Torah," because those who remain in Jerusalem are more numerous than those who travel to Miron. No doubt you will clarify all this in your next letter.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם מכ"ט ניסן עם המצורף אליו ולפלא שאין נזכר ע"ד הכנות לנצול יום הל"ג בעומר, הן בהנוגע לביקור בכפר מירון והעיקר לפעולות על אתר בירושת"ו ככל האפשרי וכותב הנני ובעיקר, אף שאמרו אל תהי יושב ושוקל מצותי' של תורה כיון שמספר הנשארים בירושת"ו רק יותר מאלה הנוסעים למירון, ובטח ימלאו במכתבם הבא.
