I greet you and bless you.

After a long interruption, I received your letter of the conclusion of Shabbos*, in which you discuss the gathering of students to continue their studies in the Chabad* institutions. May Hashem grant that this be at a good and fruitful time. You and your colleagues, teachers — men and women — will see the fruits of your efforts to raise a generation of Jews in whom all who observe them will recognize children blessed by Hashem.

I have good hope that this will inspire in you, as well as in all those who work for the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* network in the Holy Land, even more enthusiasm and strength to advance from one stage to the next in your sacred mission. Indeed, to a small addition here below corresponds an immense addition above, beyond all proportion, as our Sages explain regarding the Parashah* of this week, commenting on the verse: "Five of you shall pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you shall pursue ten thousand" (Vayikra 26:8). And I read with pleasure, at the end of your letter, that you and your wife observe the blessing, in the manner of Hashem Who acts "measure for measure" but in vastly increased proportion, in the development of your own children, whom Hashem grant long life.

Regarding teaching in another school (a non-Chabad school), it is clear that one must give priority to the vineyard of Chabad in the strict sense — that is, to what concerns the network. It is only if it is impossible to find anything within the network that one may consider a school based on sacred values, even if it does not belong to the vineyard of Chabad. Of course, this must in no way prejudice or call into question your work and devotion to developing the school of the network and everything concerning the youth of the Chabad association.

You will surely take advantage of the day of Lag BaOmer* and prepare a program for the festival of Shavuos*, which is approaching. May Hashem grant you success.

לאחרי הפסק הארוך נתקבל מכתבו ממוצש"ק, בו כותב ע"ד כניסת תלמידיהם שי' להמשיך לימודיהם במוסדות חב"ד, ויהי רצון שתהי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת ויראו הוא וחבריו סגל המורים-ות פרי טוב בעמלם להקים דור בישראל אשר כל רואיהם יכירם כי זרע ברך ה' הם, ותקותי חזקה אשר זה יוסיף מרץ וכחות יותר בו ובכל העובדים ברשת אהלי יוסף יצחק אשר באה"ק ת"ו לילך מחיל אל חיל בעבודתם קדושה זו, וכשמוסיפין מעט למטה מתוסף הרבה מלמעלה, ושלא בערך כידוע דרז"ל בפרשת שבוע זה על הכתוב ורדפו מכם חמשה מאה ומאה מכם רבבה ירדופו, ונעם לי לקרות בסיום מכתבו על אשר רואה הוא וזוגתו שיחיו ברכה במדתו של הקב"ה שהיא מדה כנגד מדה אלא שכ"פ ככה בהתפתחות ילידיהם שליט"א...

בהנוגע ללימוד במוסד חינוך אחר, מובן שדין קדימה יש לעבודה בכרם חב"ד במובנו המדויק, וכוונתי בעניני הרשת, ורק באם אין למצוא בשום אופן ענין כזה ברשת אזי יש להתענין בהצעת מוסד חינוך על טהרת הקדש אך כי לא מכרם חב"ד, וכמובן באופן שלא יזיק ולא יגע כלל בעבודתו ובמסירותו הוא התפתחות מוסד הרשת ועניני צעירי אגו"ח...

בודאי ינצלו יום הל"ג בעומר וכן מכינים תכנית בקשר עם חג השבועות הבע"ל והשי"ת יצליחם.
