To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

who renders judgment and leads his community in

righteousness, Rav Shlomo (Rav S. Assayag, of Debdou, Morocco) Shlita*,

I greet you and bless you.

I have received your precious letter of the ninth day of the month of radiance (Iyar).

At a propitious moment, I will mention your name at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, leader of Israel, in accordance with the contents of your letter. It is a certainty that the shepherd of Israel, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, who during his lifetime here below carried out his mission and prayed for the children of Israel, continues to do so on high. He invokes divine mercy so that the children of Hashem may obtain the fulfillment of their needs.

Likewise, at a propitious moment, I will also mention the name of your sister, Mrs. Rivka, whom Hashem grant long life, so that her state of health may improve and that she may obtain, more generally, the fulfillment of all her needs.

Without a doubt, you strive to strengthen and disseminate Judaism everywhere your influence extends, and in particular in the holy community of Debdou, well known in the Jewish diaspora for the Tzaddikim* of the early generations who rest in that place. The merit of the public will therefore come to your aid, so that the wish of your heart may be fulfilled.

במענה על יקרתו מיום התשיעי לחדש זיו,

בעת רצון אזכיר את כת"ר על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל, מתאים לתוכן כתבו, אשר בודאי רועה ישראל הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, מה בחיים חיותו בעלמא דין עמד ושמש והתפלל על בני ישראל אף מכאן ולהבא עומד ומשמש במרום ומעורר רחמים רבים בהמצטרך לבניו של מקום ב"ה.

כן בעת רצון אזכיר את אחותו דמר מרת רבקה שתליט"א להטבת מצב בריאותה ולהמצטרך לה בכלל.

וכיון אשר בטח משתדל כת"ר בהחזקת היהדות והפצתה בכל מקום שידו מגעת ובפרט בק"ק דבדו, אשר שם לה בתפוצות ע"י צדיקיא מדרי קדמאי דמנוחתם כבוד שם, זכות הרבים מסייעתו למילוי בקשת לבב כת"ר לטובה.
