I greet you and bless you.
I was pleased to receive your letter, in which you also describe your conduct, particularly regarding your diet and everything pertaining to physical health. Our holy Torah, Torah of the living Elokim, requires that one follow the prescriptions of the physician. Indeed, "the Torah has authorized the physician to heal," so that he is merely an emissary.
Of course, one may share with the physician one's objections and one's own ideas, including those you indicate to me. Nevertheless, after he has heard them, one must conform to what he prescribes, whether this corresponds to one's own ideas or not. Indeed, as I said above, the physician is merely an emissary, making use of the power and authorization conferred upon him by the Torah, which is thereby both the good of the body and of the soul.
And if one does not understand all of this — even if it seems to be otherwise — this is not surprising, for the Torah is the Wisdom and Will of the Holy One, blessed be He. It is therefore not surprising that a person cannot understand everything it says. Yet he must put into practice all its injunctions, even if he does not grasp them. In time, he will come to understand them.
I hope you will conform to everything that has been said, and that you will do so with joy and enthusiasm.
With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,
