Blessings and greetings,

I am responding to your letter of 14 Sivan, written on behalf of the committee of Chabad young women.

I learned with pleasure that you are devoting yourselves to the important accomplishment of bringing young girls closer to Jewish practice, infused with Chassidic warmth. Without doubt, the Chabad women and, more broadly, the Chassidim of Montreal are assisting you in this, if the need arises. I hope that with time, each member will have her specific domain in this matter. Moreover, it is certain that the essential thing is to multiply the number of those who follow you and receive your influence. The same will be true in the qualitative dimension, and it is known that nothing stands in the way of teshuvah* (repentance).

Above all, one must seek the appropriate means to take advantage of the summer time (note: by organizing summer camps), when one is freed from secular studies. Then, the schools and the children have more time available.

I send to each member my blessing for success in her activities and in her material concerns, so as to develop to the point of meriting to bear the name of Jewish young women, descendants of Sarah, Rivka, Rachel, and Leah.

ממונטריאול ,יסייעו לכן בזה ,כאשר תהיינה זקוקות לעזרתם ,ורצוני

לקוות שבמשך הזמן כולן תיעשנה יותר מומחיות בעבודה ויותר

עצמאיות ,שהעיקר הוא להגדיל את מספר החברות והמושפעות ,וגם

באיכות העבודה ,והרי ידוע שאין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.

ובפרט יש למצוא דרכים מתאימות לנצל את זמן הקיץ ,שאז הרי

פנויים מלימודי חול בבתי הספר ,וילדים יש להם יותר זמן פנוי.
