Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of the eve of Shabbos, with the note concerning that person that was enclosed. At a propitious moment, I will mention their names at the holy resting place (Ohel*) of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, so that each may obtain the satisfaction of their needs. Regarding the pain you are experiencing, you have surely asked the doctor whether this is connected to the blood circulation in the leg. I mean that sometimes, in the finest nerves that are farthest from the heart, the blood does not circulate as quickly as it should.

And what has been said about the functioning of the human body will help us understand the following expression of our Sages: "The sins that a person treads upon with his heel" (note: the influence of the heart reaches them in a diminished way; nevertheless, if the blood circulation is impaired, the legs are painful), according to the first explanation of Rashi in Tractate Avodah Zarah 18a. Indeed, particular attention is necessary for such mitzvos*, in order to feel the heartbeat of Israel, which remains awake even in exile, for the Torah and the mitzvos. This is self-evident.

You will no doubt prepare a detailed program for the approaching days of liberation of 12 and 13 Tammuz (note: see the preceding letter). This year, the words of the verse apply: "And it was, at the end of thirty years" (Yechezkel 1:1). On this subject, consult the introduction to pamphlet no. 76.

P.S.: You surely participated in the opening of the mikveh* and the celebration held on that occasion. I speak indeed of participation, including according to the view of the later Sages that such participation confers full and complete proprietary status, so that there is not a single aspect of which one is not a co-owner, just as all the other persons who likewise associate themselves. In this way, the state of partnership is evident in all aspects simultaneously. May Hashem grant that you give me good news of this as well.

בעת רצון אזכירם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע כאו"א להמצטרך לו, ובטח שאל את מר ד"ר... שי' בהנוגע להמיחוש שלו, אם אין לזה שייכות להילוך הדמים ברגל, כוונתי שלפעמים בגידים הדקים הרחוקים יותר מהלב אינו במהירות כ"כ ככל הדרוש הילוך הדמים.

וע"פ הנ"ל באדם התחתון בגופו, מובן יותר דיוק לשון רז"ל, עוונות שאדם דש בעקביו (ע"פ פי' ראשון דרש"י ע"ז יח, א), שבהן דרושה השגחה מיוחדת שתורגש בהם פעולת הלב, לב ישראל, אשר אפילו בגלותא ער הוא לתורה ומצותי' וק"ל.

בטח יעשו תכנית מפורטת לימי הגאולה י"ב וי"ג תמוז הבע"ל, והרי בשנה זו הוא בלשון הכתוב ויהי בשלשים שנה, וראה בזה בהקדמת קונטרס ע"ו.

בברכה לבשו"ט בכל האמור מתוך בריאות הנכונה.

בטח ישתתף גם הוא בפתיחת המקוה והחגיגה. וכוונתי בלשון ישתתף, הוא ג"כ לפי דעת אלה מהאחרונים המבארים ענין השותפות אשר על כל נקודה חלה הבעלות שלו, ואין נקודה שלא יהי' בעל עלי' כמו שאר השותפים, ז.א. שהשותפות תהי' ניכרת בכל הענינים אשר בה, ויהי רצון שגם בזה יבשר טוב.
