Blessings and greetings,

I am responding to your letter of 17/6. You must completely forget everything that was told to you about sorcery. Indeed, Hashem bestows His Providence upon each individual. It suffices to adopt conduct that conforms to His Will, as expressed in the Torah. One can then observe the good that He bestows, in everything one needs.

You no doubt observe the positive custom of virtuous Jewish women, which consists of giving tzedakah* (charity) each time one lights the candles, on the eve of Shabbos* or the festivals. It would also be good to have the mezuzos* of your home checked, to ensure their conformity with halachah* (Jewish law). May Hashem grant that you very soon announce good news to me of everything you mention in your letter.

With my blessing,

On behalf of the Rebbe Shlita,

The secretary,
