Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter, in which you tell me that you are distributing Chabad books among the youth and, more broadly, among your friends and acquaintances. You see and observe that everyone is seeking the Torah and the mitzvos*. I therefore have good hope that you will not be content with what has been accomplished until now, and that you will multiply these achievements.

Of course, this also includes the positive endeavor of selecting from among your students guides who will influence those around them. Such must indeed be the goal of every teacher and educator. His disciples must, in turn, guide the circle in which they move and their surroundings. And one can verify concretely that by devoting oneself to this in the proper manner, with the necessary attention, one achieves success beyond what one anticipated.

You surely meet with the Chassidim* on a regular basis, particularly those among them who are active. You also participate in their Chassidic gatherings (farbrengens*). It is important, indeed, to join oneself to the community (note: specifically on the occasion of such gatherings). And you no doubt know the three daily studies that apply to everyone, instituted by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us — pertaining to the Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*, which are well known. At the very least, you will adopt them in the future.

עלי׳ לשכוח לגמרי את מה שאומרים לה אודות עניני כישוף
וכדומה ,כי על כאו״א השם יתברך משגיח בהשגחה פרטית ,צריך רק
להתנהג כרצון השם יתברך כפי שהורה לנו בתורתו ,ואז רואים את
הטוב מהשם יתברך במה שנחוץ.
בטח שומרת את המנהג הטוב של בנות ישראל הכשרות לתת
לצדקה בכל פעם לפני הדלקת נרות בערב שבת וערב יום טוב .ומהנכון
גם לבדוק את המזוזות בדירתה ,שיהיו כולן כשרות כדין .והשם יתברך
יעזור שתוכל לבשר בקרוב בשורות טובות אודות כל הענינים שמזכירה
במכתבה.
