Igrot Kodesh · Letter 5605 — Faith & Bitachon

By the grace of Hashem,

12 Tammuz* 5717,

the date of the liberation of my father-in-law,

the Rebbe*, leader of Israel,

To the attention of the Chassidim* who fear Hashem,

immigrants from Morocco, settled in Kfar Chabad*,

may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

On this luminous day, I acknowledge receipt of your letter, in which you inform me that you have settled in Kfar Chabad*, in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt by our righteous Moshiach*, very soon and in our days, Amen — a village that was founded and is directed by the one whose joy we celebrate on this day.

Even when the righteous are still alive here below, we do not manage to absorb all their blessings. How much more is this the case when they are freed from the limitation inherent in a soul placed within a body and in the body itself, as explained in the commentary on chapter 27 of Igeres HaKodesh*, by the Alter Rebbe*, author of the Tanya* and Decisor of the hidden dimension of Torah*, author of the Shulchan Aruch* and Decisor of the revealed dimension of Torah*.

How much more does this apply to a leader of Israel, a faithful shepherd, the equivalent of Moshe* in our generation. Of Moshe* and his equivalent, our Sages* say that just as they fulfilled their function previously, they continue to do so still. He himself therefore invokes Divine mercy for all those who are bound and attached to him, among all of Israel, in order to ensure the satisfaction of their needs — material and spiritual — as well as those of the members of their families.

Based on all of this, I am confident that you will settle favorably in Kfar Chabad*, where Hashem has commanded the blessing, in a visible and tangible good, in every domain. By strengthening and spreading Chassidus*, its customs and practices, within the four cubits of each individual and, from there, in the portion of the world entrusted to us, we will hasten all the more the true and complete redemption, as the holy Tanya* explains in chapter 37. Very soon, we will merit the fulfillment of the promise: "All shall know Me... and the earth shall be filled with knowledge of Hashem."

With my blessing to give good news of all this, to maintain the inspiration, joy, and success of the day of liberation throughout the entire year, and awaiting your good news, material and spiritual alike,

ביום הבהיר זה מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם, בו מודיעים על דבר התישבותם בכפר חב"ד אשר בארצנו הקדושה, תבנה ותכונן על ידי משיח צדקנו בב"א, כפר שנתיסד ומתנהל על ידי בעל השמחה דיום זה.

שאם אפילו בחיי חיותם בעלמא דין אין המקום מפסיק לקבלת ברכותיהם של צדיקים, על אחת כמה וכמה כשסרה הגבלת כלי הנפש הקשורה בגוף והגוף, ועל דרך המבואר באגה"ק לרבנו הזקן - בעל התניא (פוסק בנסתר דתורה) והשו"ע (פוסק בנגלה דתורה) - ביאור לסי' כ"ז.

וביחוד כשהמדובר הוא בנשיא ישראל רועה נאמן, אתפשטותא דמשה אשר בדורנו, אשר עליו - ועל אתפשטותא שלו - אמרו רז"ל מה להלן עומד ומשמש אף כאן עומד ומשמש, ומעורר רחמים רבים על כל השייכים ומקושרים, בתוככי כלל ישראל להמצטרך להם ובני ביתם שיחיו הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות.

מיוסד על כל זה בטוחני, שיסתדרו בטוב בכפר חב"ד אשר שם ציוה ה' את הברכה בטוב הנראה והנגלה בכל עניניהם, ועל ידי החזקת והפצת תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי' בד' אמות של כל אחד ואחד ומשם בחלקו בעולם, יקרבו עוד יותר ויותר את הגאולה האמיתית והשלמה, וכמבואר בספר תניא קדישא פ' ל"ז, ונזכה במהרה לקיום היעוד: כולם ידעו אותי וגו' ומלאה הארץ דעה את הוי' גו'.

בברכה לבשורות טובות בכל האמור, ולהמשיך מההתעוררות והשמחה וההצלחה דיום הגאולה על כל השנה - המצפה לבשו"ט בגו"ר גם יחד.
