You write (note: this letter is addressed to Rav Yehoshua Elbaum and was written on his letter of 3 Tammuz* 5717; see also letters no. 4983 and 5735) that I desire the spreading of the wellsprings (note: of Chassidus*) in all Chassidic* synagogues. It is clear that this formulation is absolutely imprecise. My desire and my strong wish are that we should, very soon and in our days, merit to witness the fulfillment of the promise that in all synagogues, all Jews without any distinction whatsoever will study the inner dimension of Torah*.
The verse states clearly that it will be so, and the Rambam*, without ambiguity, rules the Halacha* accordingly in his Laws of the Foundations of the Torah*, chapter 2, paragraph 2: "One will conceive an incomparable wisdom... one will know the Great Name..." You should consult the beginning of the fifth chapter of the "Eight Chapters" of the Rambam*, commenting on the Halacha* reproduced by the Tur*, Shulchan Aruch*, Orach Chaim*, chapter 231. These words are wonderful and clearly explained.

... במש"כ שרצוני שבכל בכנ"ס חסידיים יפוצו המעינות - פשוט שלא דק כלל וכלל, כי עז חפצי ותשוקתי שנזכה לראות ב"ב ממש קיום היעוד שבכל בכנ"ס בנ"י מבלי הבדל כלל ילמדו פנימיות התורה. ומקרא מלא הוא, ופס"ד מפורש (רמב"ם יסוה"ת פ"ב ה"ב: ויראה מהן חכ' שאין לה ערך כו' לידע השם הגדול כו'. ויעוין רפ"ה מח"פ להרמב"ם ביאור ההלכה שהועתקה גם בטושו"ע או"ח סרל"א. דברים נפלאים ומבוארים בהחלט).
