Igrot Kodesh · Letter 568 — Shlichus to North Africa — Educational Mission

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav M. Lipsker[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of the Monday of Parshat Tetzaveh*, informing me of your agreement[2] to develop educational work in North Africa, in accordance with the will of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*.

Accordingly, please get in touch with the Chassid*, Rav B. G.[3]. I am writing to him myself on this matter, so that the work may begin as quickly as possible. Indeed, based on the information at our disposal, the situation in North Africa is such that every day lost is harmful.

Please consult the Purim* booklet that I am enclosing, paragraph 11. My father-in-law, the Rebbe*, explains there that 'The king is chosen by the people and surpasses them. To defeat his enemy, he is ready to squander the most hidden treasures, accumulated over generations. Moreover, he is willing to give his life. He does this for the soldiers, who thereby achieve victory effectively.'

There is therefore clearly an allusion here that explains to us clearly what has occurred — a teaching of general import, indicating the path we must follow, and the clear and explicit assurance that the most hidden treasures, accumulated over many years and many generations, have been revealed for us. For we are the soldiers, and we will achieve victory.

What has just been set forth requires no commentary. It is self-evident, and when one accepts it, one will see it with one's own eyes, as this farbrengen* explains in paragraph 14.

You will therefore take up the mission entrusted to you and you will succeed, as my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, desired.

ובהתאם להנ"ל, נא להתדבר תיכף עם הרה"ח והרה"ג הוו"ח וכו' הרב"ג שי' - וכותב אני גם לו נידון זה - ובהקדם האפשרי להתחיל בעבודה בפועל, כי כפי הידיעות מצפון אפריקא חבל על כל יום שהולך ולא עביד עבידתי'.

יעויין בקונטרס פורים המוסג"פ פי"א שכותב שם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, וז"ל: המלך שהוא בחיר העם וגדל מהם... ובשביל ניצוח המנגד הרי מבזבז כל סגולות האוצרות... הנאסף... מדור אחר דור... ועוד יותר שגם חייו משליך המלך מנגדו... מפקיר את חייו... פותחים את האוצרות... והכוונה בזה הם אנשי החיל שהם דוקא עושים את הנצחון.

הרי לנו כולנו רמז ביאור מה שאירע, הוראה כללית באיזה דרך עלינו ללכת, והבטחה בפשיטות שפתחו בשביל כאו"א מאתנו "סגולות האוצרות דהון יקר הנאסף והנקבץ במשך כמה שנים מדור אחר דור" כי אנו הם "אנשי החיל שהם דוקא עושים הנצחון".

כהנ"ל אינו זקוק להסברה, כי פשוט הוא וכשיתפסו, אז מ'וועט עס נעמען, בכח הראי', כמבואר בשיחה פי"ד, אז ילך לבטח לעבודתו בקדש ותהי' בהצלחה ומתאמת לחפץ ורצון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ.
